“A Very Special Turkey”

Here is a picture of Dad’s Turkey, it may just look like another gobbler, but let me tell you it’s not! This bird means a lot because for years and years Dad has been only trying to get me a turkey, and some years I would get one and then it was his turn, or sometimes I wouldn’t get one, and he was left always with 2 tags in his pocket. But, this year he got it done on this nice gobbler. We saw them go to roost the night before and so the next morning he got setup off to the edge of the field, little did he know he was within about 10 yards of him! After all the commotion from cows crashing through the woods to deer blowing, we thought the hunt was over, but around 5:50 out of corner of his eye Dad saw him walking through the field and so he had to swing and take the shot, but he got it done!

Congratulations Dad!!
