The Hunting Industry

Where do I start? I guess I’ll start by saying it definitely takes a lot of time and effort to make it in the hunting industry!
People think that it’s easy and that all I do is get money or free gear, but there is so much more that goes into it. The countless hours of thinking what to post when it is the off season. Then the countless hours in the stand with your camera gear and all your hunting equipment hauling in and out day after day. Then to the hours that we put into making videos and taking photos for the companies that we promote.
It takes a ton of time to get into this industry, but does that make me stop? NOPE! I may put tons and tons of hours into this and may get exhausted and stressed sometimes, but I Love it!
I have a burning passion for this! Working with some great companies and being able to build a relationship with them is a feeling that is just so amazing! It was definitely hard starting out. Lowdown was was the first companies that I started promoting for, and I won’t lie, I was scared.
“What if I’m not good enough” “They know more people in the industry” “What if I just flat out fail?” These are some of the questions that went through my head when I started. Because I didn’t want to let them down and if I did, they know people in the industry and what if they told them that I wasn’t good. But I didn’t let that stop me, I just did my best and then built up to getting a better camera and being able to do better video and figure out different angles and techniques while filming videos for companies.
Now I promote for multiple companies and love every minute of it! So if you are wanting to get into the hunting industry, DO IT! It’s not going to be easy, but you will learn how to do it along the way, I am nowhere near to knowing how to do everything in this industry, but I am learning as I go! Just get out and start filming your hunts and reaching out to companies and enjoy it, don’t let it stress you out!
